Learning to judge a chimney by sound seems like a lost art
My mentor could hear issues I'd miss. With video inspections, is that skill still needed?

Honestly, my friend had a video scan show all clear on his chimney last winter. A veteran sweep just tapped the bricks and heard a weak spot the camera missed. Tbh, that kind of listening still matters when tech can't tell the whole story.

Wait, the scan showed it was completely clear? That's crazy. Makes you wonder what else those cameras might miss. The old school methods still have a place for sure.
