Just realized the split on generator hookup methods

Ever have to deal with a local inspector who added his own twist to the code? I read a piece where a guy got flagged because his township had an amendment about box fill that wasn't even in the state's adopted version... it's a mess. Derek_hayes57 is right about it feeling like legal research, because you're not just looking up one rule. You're checking the base article, then hunting for exceptions, then seeing if your local guys added anything on top. Makes a simple job way too complicated sometimes.

My design software was slowing me down until this morning's patch.

Right? This hits so close to home. My own program had a "critical" update last month that made the whole thing freeze every five minutes. Spent more time watching that stupid spinning wheel than doing any actual work. It honestly felt like the patch was designed to test my patience, not fix a single thing. You learn to dread those update notifications after a while.

Old spike marks on an oak taught me a new way to climb

Rant: My town just passed a dumb rule about chimney caps

Last year our outdoor extension cord was throwing sparks. Put a cap on it and haven't seen a single spark since! Makes such a difference.

PSA: My mom blocked my texts after I called out her favoritism

My friend had a big fight with her mom over her mom clearly liking her brother more. Got the silent treatment via blocked texts and all. She started a private group with her sisters to vent and share funny stories. It's crazy how family won't just talk things out like normal people. But hey, at least we have our own spaces to deal with it.
