That new carbon fiber extension pole was worth every penny
I dropped about $180 on a 12-foot one after my old aluminum one bent on a tricky flue. The weight difference is huge when you're up on a roof all day. Anyone have a good trick for keeping the threads clean?

Oh man, I just use a wire brush on mine. A quick scrub before it dries out keeps the threads turning smooth.

You're right about the gunk, but the price isn't just for the item itself. You're paying for the design that makes cleaning way easier. For example, some have removable parts you can just pop in the dishwasher. It's about saving time and hassle, not just buying a thing.
