I was at my friend Sam's place in Austin last month and saw they had a big bucket in their shower. They told me they collect the cold water while waiting for it to warm up, then use it to water their veggie patch. They said it saves about 15 gallons a week just from one person. Has anyone else tried a simple water catch system like this?

Wait, you can't just leave it at that, what happened? I always thought the steam from a shower was good for plants. Did the bucket tip over and drown it or something? That's actually a bummer, I was totally wrong about the whole bathroom garden idea.
