That apprentice who argued with me about feed speeds
Had a kid about 22 years old tell me I was running my Haas VF-2 too slow on a 6061 aluminum part. He had about 3 months of experience from trade school. I let him try his way and watched him snap a $120 endmill in about 30 seconds. Anyone else deal with guys fresh out of school who think they know everything?

Book learning and real world experience are two different things. Trade schools teach theory but they don't teach the cost of mistakes. Some lessons are expensive to learn.
