Debugging my grandma's recipe site for 3 days, it was just a missing semicolon at 2am

Spent an entire weekend in Austin chasing a white screen error on her old PHP site, turns out the real issue was I kept 'fixing' the wrong file because her hosting panel showed 3 different versions of the same page, has anyone else wasted hours on a dumb typo that you only spot after you explain the code out loud to your cat?
