Dropped $180 on an online bootcamp and it was the best money I've put into learning Python
Six months ago I was stuck bouncing between free YouTube videos and never finishing anything, so I paid $180 for a beginner Python course on Udemy during a sale. The thing that actually worked was the deadlines and the little projects, not the videos themselves, since I had already watched plenty of free ones. It took me about nine weeks to get through it, and I built a small script that sorts my work invoices into folders by month. Curious if anyone else here has paid for a course and felt it was worth it, or did you get further just using free stuff like freeCodeCamp?
Nine weeks?? That feels like forever for a beginner course lol. But hey if it got you to actually finish and build something real with the invoice sorter, that's what counts. Free stuff never gave me that push either, honestly the deadlines might be the whole trick.
