Vent: Spent 2 days debugging a Python script before I saw the missing colon

I was working on a little script to organize my receipts for tax season and kept getting a syntax error, but after 48 hours of checking every line I finally spotted I forgot a colon after the if statement on line 3, has anyone else wasted that much time on a single character?

48 hours for a missing colon is nothing, just yesterday I spent an hour looking for my sunglasses while they were on my head.

I mean yeah that's rough but 48 hours for a missing colon is actually pretty normal for Python, I think your sunglasses thing was more of a brain fart.
