My comic con ticket cost more than my hotel room
I paid $85 for a single day pass to the Emerald City Comic Con last month, which felt crazy (the hotel was only $70 a night). The lines were so long I only got into two panels, and I missed the artist I really wanted to see. Has anyone else felt like the big con experience isn't worth the price tag anymore?

It's gotten out of hand for sure. The price jump in the last five years is wild compared to what you actually get. You end up paying a premium just to stand in lines all day. My local con used to be a fun weekend, now it's a budget drain for a worse experience. The big shows feel more like cash grabs than fan events these days.

Seriously, they're just selling us back our own culture.

Honestly the big cons feel like paying to stand in a crowded mall now. Tbh I spent more on my badge last year than on food and gas for the whole trip.
