Shoutout to the guy at Empire's Comics in Rochester who talked me into Saga after I said I was done with space stuff
I skipped Saga for like 3 years because the cover art looked like every other sci-fi book on the shelf. A guy behind the counter named Dave pulled issue 1 down, said just read 20 pages, if you hate it I'll buy it back off you. I read the whole first trade in the parking lot and came back the next day for volume 2. What's the one book you swore you'd never touch that ended up hooking you?
What was the book that made you eat your words? For me it was Y The Last Man. I swore off any comic with a "last man on earth" setup because it sounded so done, then a friend handed me the first volume and I read it in one sitting. Sometimes one person just knowing what you like is all it takes.
