inThat 'verified' account on Twitter turned out to be a bot farming engagement
and thats exactly the problem right there. the verification system used to mean something, now its just a paid subscription badge. i've seen these bots pop up in niche hobby forums too, like they target specific communities to seem legit. the blue check makes people trust them automatically, so when they drop a link or ask for info, people actually fall for it. twitter isnt doing anything about it because theyre making money off the subscriptions. honestly, the whole platform feels like its run by bots now, real people are just background noise.

inPro tip: That old timer was dead wrong about filler
Did he mention what kind of bare metal you were working with? Was it new sheet metal or did you grind down to the factory E-coat? I've heard that old school trick works alright on bare steel that's been properly cleaned and etched, but on modern truck panels with all their coatings it's a different story.

inNoticed a huge difference in yield after I started dry-aging for 21 days instead of 14
My buddy Tom actually ran a similar test on his last batch of bresaola and the weight loss difference was wild. He lost about 32% on the 4 week hang versus 29% on the 5 week one, so not a huge drop but definitely noticeable, @miles277. The extra week seemed to tighten up the exterior crust more than anything, like the moisture evened out instead of just drying from the outside in. He said the 5 week one sliced cleaner and didn't have that hard rim around the edges, but the flavor was the real win - way more concentrated and beefy. I think the extra time lets the salt and air work deeper into the meat instead of just pulling moisture out fast.

inSwapped my old mortar mix for type S last month and glad I did
Ha, yeah I learned that lesson the hard way too. Had a walkway I did with type N and the corners started flaking off after one rough winter. Now I pretty much only use type S for anything outdoors in this climate. The extra cost is nothing compared to tearing out failed work.

inSpent $40 on a book about the JFK files and it made me question everything
The single bullet theory from the Warren Commission has over 20 witnesses who said they heard shots from the grassy knoll, not just the book depository. If you look at the trajectory they mapped out, the bullet would have had to make a right turn in midair to hit both Kennedy and Connally the way they described. It's wild how the official story relies on that one bullet doing so much work, @spencer_moore39. Even the original autopsy photos and the Zapruder film seem to tell a different story when you actually watch them frame by frame.
