Hit 500 dives last month and it snuck up on me - 487 of them were inspection work in the Gulf

I've been keeping a log book since I started (I know, real old school) but I never actually counted until my supervisor asked for my total number. 500 felt like a big deal to me but I realized I've done almost all of them in the same general area around Port Fourchon. That's kind of wild when you think about it - five hundred times going under in basically the same patch of water. Has anyone else had that moment where you look back and realize you've done way more dives than you thought?

Makes you wonder how many times we do anything without noticing the total.

Totally get what you're saying. Like, I realized the other day I had been walking the same route to work for six months and never noticed the little bakery that opened up. Felt kinda dumb but also, how many other things just slide by like that. It's weird when you finally tune in and see all the stuff you missed. Spooky almost.
