Switched from paper logs to a dive tablet last season, night and day
Used to scribble everything on wet notes and transcribe when I got back to the boat, took forever and I lost half the details. Now I punch readings straight into a rugged tablet with a stylus, even in gloves. We did 14 dives off Port Fourchon last month and my deco tracking was spot on, has anyone else ditched paper entirely?

What happens when that tablet takes a hit against a wreck or the battery dies on a liveaboard, do you just guess your deco stops? Paper never runs out of power and it still works after you drop it in the sand. I get the appeal of having everything neat and logged, but I've seen too many people staring at dead screens instead of watching their gas. Plus, there's something about writing it down by hand that keeps your brain in the dive, not just the data.
