The difference in visibility at the old Port of Tacoma dock is crazy now
Six months ago, I was working on a piling inspection there and could barely see my hand in front of my face, maybe 2 feet of viz on a good day. They finally started enforcing the no-washdown rule for the bulk carriers, and last week I went back and had a clear 15 feet. Has anyone else seen a spot turn around that fast just from one rule change?

It's amazing what happens when they actually follow the rules.

Following the rules is one thing, reading the manual is another.

You know, I used to roll my eyes at all the rules and red tape. Felt like it just slowed things down for no good reason. But @the_jesse is right, seeing a project go smooth because everyone actually read the manual is a total game changer. It turns out the rules were there for a reason all along. Kind of embarrassing how long it took me to get that.
