Back in 2010, I had to pick between getting CompTIA A+ certified or just diving into a repair shop job. Went with the shop.

Looking back, do you ever wonder if skipping the cert held you back later on? The shop gave you hands-on time for sure, but some jobs have that A+ as a hard filter for even getting an interview. Curious if you hit a wall where not having it became a problem, or if the real-world experience was always enough.

Yeah, that "hard filter" thing is real (I've seen it myself with some bigger companies).
