But honestly have you seen what most people actually do with their PCs now? Like my cousin just needed something for schoolwork and streaming Netflix. A cheap power supply in a $500 pre-built is perfect for that and it'll probably last years. Not everyone is running high-end gaming rigs that need platinum-rated units. Sometimes the "lazy" build is just the smart choice for the job.

Yeah because nothing says smart like rolling the dice on a house fire. Those cheap units can literally toast your whole system when they go. Real smart choice lmao.

Oh totally! My mom's old desktop had some no name power supply for like eight years and it just ran her email and recipes. Never had a single issue with it! People really overthink how much power normal stuff actually needs.
