Had a chat with a retired IT guy at the coffee shop that got me thinking

I ran into this older guy named Frank at a local shop in Phoenix last week. He said most of his career was spent fixing problems by just unplugging stuff and waiting 30 seconds, and I laughed but then he showed me a log from 1999 where that fixed a whole office network outage. It hit different cause I always overthink things before trying the simple fix. Has anyone else had a moment where the obvious thing saved you hours of troubleshooting?

Unplug n replug saves my sanity at least once a month.

Wait you're actually right though? I used to roll my eyes at that advice but now it's literally my first troubleshooting move for everything.
