Overheard a client say my fix was "good enough" and it bugged me all week

Was at a pickup counter in Sparks last Tuesday, waiting on a part, and this guy walks in complaining his laptop still ran hot after a repair. The tech behind the counter shrugged and said "good enough, it boots doesn't it?" That stuck with me. I've been guilty of the same thing when a board looks passable but I know the thermal pads are wrong. Has anyone else caught themselves shipping something that works but isn't right, and how do you force yourself to redo it instead of moving on?
