Vent: three monitors down in one afternoon, all from the same office

Walked into a small law firm in Boise and found three dead monitors, all different models, all with blown caps. Replaced them with spares I carry, but the real issue was their surge protector daisy-chained into another one. Has anyone else seen a whole office fry gear in one storm like that?

Daisy chaining surge protectors just gives you one weak link.
