Bought a $200 juicer that died after 3 uses - is the cold press hype just marketing?
Got a masticating juicer last month from Amazon, and the motor gave out on the third orange. I'm seeing two sides: some say cheap builds are the problem, others swear cold press is the only way. Has anyone had a budget model actually hold up, or am I better off just buying juice from the store?

Honestly, isn't it more about the cheap motor than the method?

Wait, three oranges? That's almost impressive in a sad way, like the juicer gave up on life faster than I do on a Monday morning. I've had cheap blenders last longer than that, so this sounds like a straight-up lemon, not a problem with the cold press method itself. You probably just got unlucky with a dud, but if you're trying to save money, store-bought juice is fine if you don't mind the price tag.
