I was at a truck stop in Flagstaff and overheard a wild story about the Denver airport murals

This guy at the diner was telling his buddy that the weird murals there are a map for something, not just art. He pointed at a napkin drawing of the 'blue mustang' statue and said its red eyes track specific flights. It made me look up the artist later, and his notes online are pretty strange. What's the most convincing detail you've heard about that place?

Disagree about the mustang, @skyler_anderson65, I find its weirdness fits the whole vibe. The most convincing detail for me is how the artist's notes talk about hidden children in the murals. It makes you wonder what he was really trying to say.

Oh wow, I have to admit I was totally with @skyler_anderson65 before. I saw that mustang and thought it was just a weird eyesore that didn't belong with the rest of the artwork. But reading your point about the hidden children in the artist's notes really flipped a switch for me. That detail makes me wonder if the horse's strange proportions were intentional, like it was supposed to feel off and unsettling. Maybe it's a symbol for something darker lurking beneath the surface of those cheerful murals. I guess I need to go back and look at the whole thing with fresh eyes now.

Honestly the weirdest part is just how bad that blue mustang statue looks in person.
