Can we talk about the week I had three straight days of perfect drywall mudding weather

Last fall in Portland I got a solid Tuesday through Thursday with exactly 45% humidity and 72 degrees, and the mud set so smooth I finished a whole basement in half the usual time, has anyone else noticed how much difference a few degrees makes on your finish?

Wait, is 45% humidity really ideal though? I thought it was more like 30-35 for mud work, especially if you're using the quick set stuff. Lower humidity helps it dry way faster without cracking.

Up in Seattle we get this weird marine layer that rolls in around June and turns everything into a sticky mess, ruined a whole garage job last summer. Had to wait two extra days for the air to dry out before I could even sand. Now I watch the dew point like a hawk before mixing any mud.
