Shoutout to my drywall crew for proving me wrong on taping order

I always thought you had to tape all the flats before moving to inside corners, that's how my old boss taught me 8 years ago. Last week on a basement reno in Omaha I watched my crew do the opposite and the finish came out way smoother. They started with the inside corners first, then the flats, and it cut down on mud buildup around the edges. Has anyone else tried flipping the order on their tape jobs?

Funny how doing things backwards sometimes makes them work better in life, isn't it?

Started baking a cake once and realized halfway through I put the eggs in after it was already in the oven. Turned out fluffier than any cake I ever made the right way! Guess sometimes chaos is the secret ingredient.
