That fancy estimating software I swore I'd never use

I was dead set against switching to any of those cloud based estimating programs. Thought they were just a way for some tech company to get a monthly check out of me. Then I tried Buildertrend for a 3 month free trial on a kitchen remodel in Austin and it saved me like 5 hours of paperwork that first week alone. Has anyone else found a tool that actually made your life easier even though you were sure it would be a waste?

My buddy in Dallas tried Buildertrend on a flip house and swore it paid for itself in two weeks.

Heard a contractor on a podcast say the same thing, claimed the job costing feature alone saved his bacon on a few materials orders that went over budget.
