That Tuesday in Akron when the tile saw paid for itself in one job

I showed up to a bathroom reno in Akron last month and the homeowner handed me this massive sheet of porcelain tile, like 2x4 feet. My old manual cutter just snapped it wrong on the first try, cost me a $60 piece of tile right out the gate. I drove 20 minutes to Home Depot and dropped $200 on a cheap wet saw, finished the rest of the cuts in under two hours, and the client tipped me $50 for being fast. Anyone else ever had a tool pay for itself on the very first day you bought it?

Man, I saw a post online where a guy said his router paid for itself on a single cabinet job and it made me realize how fast a good tool can cover its own cost. Did you keep that saw for other projects?

Routers are wild, I know a guy who paid his off in one afternoon trimming cabinet doors.
