Got a new Liebherr LTM 1050 last month and it's been a learning curve

We finally swapped out our old Grove for a 2024 Liebherr at the Port of Seattle yard last month. The load moment indicator setup is way different than what I'm used to, and I nearly overshot a pickup on a 12-ton transformer on Tuesday. Has anyone else had to adjust to these newer computer-controlled systems on Liebherrs?

New cranes are just more trouble than they're worth.

Read a piece in some trade mag last month about how the new Liebherr LTR 1100 is having all these sensor issues on job sites. They talked about how the computer systems shut down the crane if a wind gust hits just right, leaving operators stuck mid-lift. Honestly @margaretw41, it sounds like the old mechanical models were way more reliable because you could actually feel what the machine was doing. Tbh, all this extra tech just adds points of failure that didn't need to be there. Ngl, I'd rather have a basic crane that works every time than a fancy one that's always throwing error codes.
