Vent: Had to choose between a quick lift and a full rig move on a tight site in Spokane

Went with the move to get proper clearance, which added 2 hours but kept the crew safe. Anyone ever faced a similar call where the 'right' way was the slow way?

Two hours is nothing. I saw a guy try to rush a forklift unload in a tight yard, clipped a power line conduit. Shut the whole block down for six hours. @sarahh48 is right, the extra time is just part of the job. You made the call that keeps people from getting hurt and stops a bigger mess later. That's the whole point of being the one in charge.
