I noticed a big shift in how builders quote insulation packages after 2020

I remember back in 2019, most custom home builders around here would just throw in fiberglass batts as standard and call it a day. Now almost every quote I see lists spray foam as the default option and the price jumped about $3,500 on average for a 2,000 square foot house. Has anyone else seen this change in their area, or is it just the contractors I'm talking to?

Used to think spray foam was overkill but the price difference actually makes sense now.

Man, I wish my wallet could afford to just laugh off a $3,500 jump like that. Guess I'll be sticking with my old itchy fiberglass batts and a long sleeve shirt for a while.
