The 3D render looks great, but who actually checks the window sizes?

I toured a model home in Boise last month and the drawings showed these big beautiful casements, then the builder confirmed they wouldn't fit the rough opening without killing the closet depth... Ended up catching it before the pour, but I keep seeing people who skip that step entirely. Has anyone else had a render-to-field size mismatch bite them?

Dude yes, I had a slider that was 3 inches off, caught it on site luckily!
