Found a weird trick that got my neighbor to actually recycle right
After 6 months of finding plastic bags in our building's recycling bin I left a note with a funny drawing of a sad can and suddenly everyone started sorting properly, has anyone else tried humor to fix a frustrating neighbor situation?

Yeah I totally agree with the humor angle (it really does work) because people respond way better to funny stuff than they do to angry notes or rules. The sad can drawing is genius honestly, it makes people feel bad for the can instead of defensive about their own habits. I bet that neighbor thought twice before tossing a bag in there again after seeing that little face. Passive aggression just makes everyone mad but a joke gets the point across without starting a war in your building. Plus now you probably have a reputation as the funny neighbor instead of the recycling police which is a huge win.
