Oh man, that is wild! I had the exact opposite experience last time I was at the one in Cincinnati. There was this guy a few spots ahead of me who brought in a whole rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and just started eating it with his hands right there in line. The smell filled up the whole place and I almost lost my lunch. Maybe you just got lucky with a good DMV day.

Oh man, I've totally been there. Honestly, the best trick I ever learned is to just show up exactly 30 minutes before they close. Fewer people, employees are basically just trying to get through the last of it. Bring a book and some earbuds though, just in case the vibe shifts weird.
