Just realized that $12 gutter cleaning guy on Craigslist was actually the real deal
Two weeks ago I noticed water pooling near my foundation after a storm here in Denver, so I finally hired this guy off Craigslist who quoted me $12 flat for gutter cleaning. I figured for that price he would just blow leaves around and leave, but he showed up with his own ladder and hauled out three buckets of junk from my gutters plus flushed both downspouts. Turned out he does this on weekends for extra cash and he even pointed out a loose bracket near my back porch that I would've never caught. Guy was done in 40 minutes and my basement stayed dry through the next rain. Has anyone else found a great deal on a home service that you assumed was too cheap to be good?

That "$12 flat" price sounds less lucky and more like a guy who undervalues his own labor.
