TIL my regular cash flow spreadsheet was hiding a slow bleed of $400 a month in small fees
I've been paying $25 a month for a booking software I barely use and $15 for a domain I forgot about. Took me 3 hours last Sunday to cancel everything and switch to a free option for scheduling. Any other Detroit owners find surprise costs eating into their margins after they had to replace a broken POS system?

...honestly this whole thing feels like a lot of drama over a couple hundred bucks. I get that $400 a month adds up over a year but if your business is that fragile that a few small fees are gonna wreck your margins you probably have bigger problems. Odds are you signed up for that booking software during a busy week and forgot, and the domain thing happens to everyone. It's not like someone stole your wallet, it's just an oops moment. Just cancel and move on, no need to turn it into a whole big detective story about hidden fees and lifetime warranties.

Did your friend check if that POS system had any hidden subscription fees for support or updates? My buddy in Ferndale found out his "lifetime warranty" replacement still charged him $50 a month for cloud backup he never signed up for. Took him weeks to get that reversed.
