Tried a bypass oil filter kit on my Ford 7.3

I put on a bypass oil filter kit from OilGuard about 6 months ago on my 2002 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke. Instead of cleaner oil, my oil analysis came back way worse with higher wear metals than before the kit. Anyone else have a bypass filter setup actually mess up their oil readings?

My buddy Mike put one of those on his 7.3 about two years back. He took his oil in for testing after three months and the lab called him asking if he'd been running straight diesel instead of oil.

I run oil samples every 500 miles on any new bypass filter setup until I see stable numbers.

My neighbor Dave tried a similar setup on his Cummins and had almost the same thing happen. About four months in, his oil analysis came back looking like fuel dilution had gone wild. @spencer_moore39, your buddy Mike got lucky the lab caught it early because Dave didn't notice until his truck started running rough. Took him a week to flush the system and replace all the injectors that got damaged. He still swears by the centrifuge setup though, just checks his oil every two weeks now.
