Bought a $50 art tablet on Amazon and it barely lasted 3 months

I grabbed a cheap Huion H420 off Amazon because I just wanted to dip my toes into digital painting without spending big. Broke after maybe 90 days of light use where the pen just stopped registering pressure at all. Anyone else had luck with budget tablets or should I just bite the bullet on an entry level Wacom?

Fifty bucks gets you about what you'd expect these days. That Huion H420 is basically a disposable toy with a USB cord attached. I learned this lesson the hard way with a $40 XP-Pen that started ghosting lines after two months of casual doodling. You're better off saving up for a proper Intuos, they'll actually last longer than a single season of your favorite show.

Nah, @lee_bailey65, but what if you just need a tablet to test the waters without dropping real cash? The H420 gets you drawing today for pocket change, and if you hate it, you're out less than dinner and a movie. Not everyone needs a tank when a cheap pencil will do for learning.
