Switched from layering 20 brushes to using 3 for portraits and it feels wrong
I used to stack like a dozen custom brushes for skin texture in every portrait, but last week I forced myself to only use a soft round, a hard round, and a textured dry brush in Procreate. The result looked cleaner and took half the time, has anyone else found less is more with their brush setup?

Nah, having fewer brushes just means you're doing less, not smarter.

Huh, I mean I get what you're saying but I read something the other day about how pro chefs actually use like 3-4 knives tops for everything. Maybe it's just me but having a million brushes always made me spend more time picking one out than actually painting. Idk, less clutter just feels better to work with personally.
