Thought digital art claims were overblown until I saw a pro use an iPad

I used to think all that talk about iPads replacing computers for digital art was just hype. Then I watched a guy at a local coffee shop in Portland sketch a full portrait in Procreate in under 20 minutes. The way he controlled the brushes and layers was way smoother than what I can do on my old Wacom tablet. Has anyone else found a tool they were skeptical of that actually changed how they work?

Honestly, same here, watched a friend do a time-lapse and it completely changed my mind about iPads for art.

Ngl, isn't a real pencil and paper still way more satisfying than staring at a screen all day?
