Dropped $700 on a course that promised me 'passive income' and I got three videos of a guy in his kitchen
Saw the ad on my feed like 50 times back in March. The guy is standing in front of a rented Lambo and says he made $40k last month with one simple funnel. I paid the $700 because the checkout page had a countdown timer that said 3 spots left. Turns out the whole thing is 3 hours of him rambling about mindset and one PDF with broken links. I asked for a refund and got a reply from support saying I missed the 7 day window by 2 days. My wife still brings it up whenever I talk about buying another tool for my shop. Anyone else get burned by the countdown timer trick or is it just me?

The "3 spots left" thing is fake like 99% of the time, those timers just reset when you refresh the page. You didn't miss anything or get unlucky, the whole setup is built so there's never really a deadline and the refund window is short on purpose. Small claims court is honestly not a bad move for $700 if you kept the receipts.
