Vent: I thought working from a beach cafe in Bali was the dream

Tried it for a week and the glare on my screen was so bad I could barely see my work. I ended up moving to a co-working space in Ubud and got twice as much done. Anyone have tips for actually productive outdoor work spots?

Oh man, the screen glare thing is so real. I tried working from a poolside cabana in Mexico last year and it was a total joke. I spent more time squinting and moving my laptop around to find a shadow than I did actually typing. Even with the brightness cranked all the way up, it was just a mirror showing me my own sad, sweaty face. I had to give up and go inside after like an hour.

Oh the classic "work from paradise" fail! I can just picture the sad laptop shuffle trying to escape the sun. At that point a matte screen protector is just putting a band-aid on a sinking ship. Maybe the real pro tip is to admit defeat and just order another margarita instead.
