Was dead against dropping cash on a subpac until I tried one at a friend's studio

I spent $300 on a Subpac S2 last month after swearing it was just a gimmick. My buddy in San Salvador let me use his for a mix session and I felt the low end way clearer than any headphones. It saved my bass mixing for my album D11-04 because I kept guessing sub frequencies before. Any other producers here use tactile feedback gear or is it just hype?

Yeah "was dead against dropping cash" is exactly how I felt till I borrowed a friend's Subpac for a weekend. I was mixing this track with this really deep 808 and my headphones just would not tell me what was happening below 60hz. It totally changed how I heard the low end, not gonna lie. Now I'm broke but my bass sounds way tighter so I guess that's the trade off.

But doesn't a good subwoofer fix this for way less money?
