Went back and forth on buying a used MPC One for 6 months finally pulled the trigger

I kept reading forum posts saying the workflow was clunky compared to just using a laptop, but a buddy in San Salvador let me borrow his for a weekend and I had a beat laid down in 20 minutes. The thing just clicked for me way faster than clicking around in Ableton ever did - anyone else find hardware helps them stop overthinking and just make stuff?

6 months is wild dedication lol glad it paid off though, the MPC workflow just hits different when you actually get your hands on it.

6 months? man I would've given up after like two weeks. that's some serious persistence right there. but yeah once you get past that learning curve it just clicks and becomes second nature.
