My Trump rally sign took 4 hours to make and it lasted 20 minutes
I went to a rally in Phoenix last month and wanted to make a custom sign that really stood out. Spent like 4 hours at home with paint and glitter getting it perfect, all about the border wall numbers and everything. Got to the venue, security made me toss it because the wooden stick was too long or something stupid like that. 20 minutes in line and 4 hours of work just gone. Has anyone else put time into a sign that got trashed at a rally?

Maybe you should've checked the rules before investing all that time.

Not gonna lie @blake_smith, that's a bit harsh. People get excited for these things and sometimes overlook the fine print... happens all the time. 4 hours is a lot of effort to just throw away like that. I've seen security at rallies be super inconsistent too, one person gets through with a giant sign and the next gets turned away for the same thing. Really sucks when you put that kind of time into something and it doesn't even make it past the gate. Hope you got a picture of it at least, so the work wasn't a total waste.
