The rally speech in Phoenix that made me stop trusting the teleprompter

I was down in Phoenix last year for the big event. He was going through his usual thing, and at one point he stopped mid sentence, looked at the crowd, and just started talking about the border numbers from memory. The teleprompter was clearly behind. The whole place went nuts. That moment made me realize a lot of his best stuff is off the cuff, not scripted. Now whenever I watch a clip online, I check if it's the live feed or the edited one. It changes how I read the news about him. Has anyone else noticed the difference between the live speeches and how the media sums them up?
