Rant: Drafting in AutoCAD for 3 years before someone showed me layer states

I was at a job last month and a senior guy walked by my desk. He saw me manually freezing and thawing layers one by one like I always did. He just laughed and showed me how to save and load layer states in three clicks. I wasted probably 200 hours over the years clicking through layers. Has anyone else had a basic feature slip past them for way too long?

I used to think layer states were just for teams with standards, now I get it.

Realizing they save your sanity when you're managing like 50 drawings in a set... once you start using them right you can't go back.
