The amount of people who still don't set their UCS to 'World' before exporting to PDF is genuinely baffling.

I just had to rework a set of MEP shop drawings from a sub where all the text and dimensions were at a 45-degree angle because they were still in some custom UCS from a detail view.

Is it just a lack of training or do people forget basic steps on purpose? I see this kind of thing everywhere, not just with drawings. It's like folks learn a shortcut or a special way to do one task, then they get stuck in that mode forever. They never reset to the standard way of doing things. It creates way more work for everyone else down the line to fix their mess. That's the real problem, making your weird process into someone else's emergency.

I get what you're saying @the_julia about the mess becoming someone else's emergency, but I see it more as a system problem. People stick with a weird process because the standard way is often slow or badly set up. If the normal method was actually easier, they'd use it. The real fix is making the right way to do things also the simplest path.
