Serious question, had a chat with a friend who works in data privacy about the new AI memory features.

a persistent model of you" oh great so now there's a version of me that's better at remembering stuff than I am. cool cool cool. guess I'll just let my digital twin handle all the awkward memories while I enjoy forgetting what I walked into the kitchen for.

Just found out my local woodworking forum banned me for 'tone'

Man, that's rough. I got kicked out of a baking forum once for saying someone's sourdough starter looked like a science experiment gone wrong. Guess they didn't appreciate my "honest feedback" either. I guess the takeaway is that some mods really can't handle bluntness, even if you're just trying to help someone avoid a hassle. At least your ban is for something that makes sense in woodworking, not for criticizing bread. Now I'm wondering if my local quilting group is going to come after me next for saying a pattern was outdated.

Picked a polypropylene brush over wire bristles for a heavy creosote job and got roasted for it

Mike will learn the hard way after a call back for scratched flue tiles.

Three years ago in my tiny apartment kitchen, I swore by air frying everything from frozen. Now I'm team 'fresh only' for better texture. Which side are you on?

Oh man, is that the exact same situation in my house right now? I swear I have like three bags of that stuff stashed away for those nights when cooking just isn't happening... It's totally fine to lean on this stuff when you're tired, you know? The orange chicken is actually pretty solid compared to some other frozen stuff I've tried, the sauce is decent and the breading holds up okay in the air fryer. People act like you have to make everything from scratch to be a real adult but that's just not realistic for most of us. I say stock up and don't overthink it... we're all just trying to get through the week.

Appreciation post: The 2018 version of my book club spreadsheet vs what I use now

Oh man, that Google Sheet upgrade is exactly what my group needed too! We were doing the whole paper vote thing and meetings would drag forever just trying to settle on a book. Now we have a simple form where everyone submits their picks and it auto-tallies, cuts our decision time down to like 5 minutes tops.
