Just realized I've hung over 10,000 sheets of drywall in 22 years.

I was adding up old job logs from my notebook, and that number caught me off guard. Does anyone else ever stop and calculate how many boards you've actually put up?

12,000 sheets in 22 years is a ton of work, but let me ask you this: how many times have you had to cut down or scrap a board because you messed up the measurement? I bet the waste pile is almost as big as the pile you hung.

Hah, that's wild. I bet that number sneaks up on you when you start adding it all up, I did the same thing with framing lumber a few years ago and it blew my mind.
