Taped a ceiling with wet mud instead of setting-type compound. Never again.

Man, why'd you even try that? Did you run out of setting compound or were you just in a hurry? I've seen guys do that before and it always ends bad. The wet mud just doesn't bond right on ceilings, it sags and cracks like crazy. How long until you had to rip it all down?

Backrolled it in 30 minutes with 90 minute mud and a 4 inch knife. Held solid.
