The 2015 census number that wrecked my mental math
I was helping my cousin apply for a housing voucher here in Frankfurt and stumbled on the UNHCR stat that only about 2% of Syrian refugees in Germany hold university degrees. I kept assuming most of us had solid education because my whole friend group back in Aleppo did, but that detail hit different when I read it. Has anyone else found a specific stat that made them rethink their own story or how outsiders see us?
