Chose the cheapest lawyer I could find for my traffic ticket

I went with the $500 flat rate guy over the $1500 specialist for a 50km/h over ticket last month, and now I've got a court date that's somehow two days before my vacation starts. Has anyone else gambled on a budget lawyer and regretted it?

$500 flat rate for a 50 over ticket? That's not a lawyer, that's a guy who watched a YouTube video on how to get your license suspended for free. Congrats on getting a court date that perfectly ruins your vacation plans though, that's some next level efficiency from the legal system (they really do work fast when it's inconvenient for you). I bet your budget lawyer is going to show up in jeans and ask the judge if they take Venmo. At least you saved a thousand bucks to spend on the inevitable fine and insurance hike you're about to get. Hope your vacation was refundable, because you're gonna need that money for the bus pass you'll be buying after this.
